Every teacher should engage in language-stimulation and language-facilitation techniques while also provide quality feedback when working with children to expand the children’s learning and understanding and also to encourage children to extend their participation. Working through both small and large group activities and discussions, participants learn to develop and enhance their skills and abilities in scaffolding, prompting children through thought processes, engaging in back-and-forth exchanges, engaging children in peer conversations and developing appropriate follow-up questions.
