Supporting Children and Families who have Experienced Trauma

Objectives

  1. Define and recognize characteristics of childhood trauma

2.recall the impact of family trauma on children’s mental health  and development.

3.define resilience and recognize practices that boost children’s capacity for resilence

  1. Identify appropriate strategies that can be used to support children and families  who have experienced trauma

Please join us with Marcy Turnbull in the upcoming training.  A little information about the presenter, Marcy been teaching for 32 years. I have a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in Early childhood education from Buffalo State University. I have a Director’s Credential. I taught VPK at Lake Montessori for 1 1/2 years.I currently am teaching VPK at Go Love Academy in Winter Garden.
