Leslie Silk Eslinger (Director of Education @Becker’s School Supplies)

Leslie Silk Eslinger has been involved in early childhood education for over 30 years as a teacher, mentor, professional development workshop presenter, and administrator. She has developed and presented workshops at local, regional, and national conferences. Her first book, Theme Kits Made Easy, published by Redleaf Press, focused on making learning open-ended, flexible, and relevant.

In her current position as Director of Education and Development for Becker’s, she enthusiastically searches for products designed for learning through active exploration. And if it’s not out there, she works with a team of specialists to develop it! Most recently her team developed a ramp and a bridge set based on multiple STEM disciplines. During this process, it became abundantly clear that young children are ripe for this type of learning and we need to be ready to serve it up!

She attended Bank Street College of Education and earned her M.Ed. degree in Childhood Education from Arcadia College.
