DESCRIPTION:It’s OK to Play in VPK! What Educators Should Know About Intentional Teaching is the first training in a 2-part series and is based on the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards. This training builds on the participant’s knowledge of the standards while learning why play is critical to the development of young children and how to intentionally teach and reinforce the FELDS through developmentally appropriate everyday activities. \nIt’s OK to Play in VPK: Putting Play into Practice is the second training in a 2-part series for preschool educators\, directors and administrators. This training uses the participant’s knowledge of the FELDS to facilitate hands-on learning. Participants will actively engage in developmentally appropriate activities that reinforce the standards in various learning centers typically found in a preschool classroom. \nMust register for the training on the DCF Website. DESCRIPTION:CLASS Support Kits (with Transfer-to-Practice Webinars) Social Emotional \nCLASS Support Kits (with Transfer-to-Practice Webinars) includes reusable guidebooks to promote the effective use of the quality materials\, and a workshop style learning opportunity designed to orient teachers to the materials\, build confidence in implementation\, and support utilization of best practices. With support from a CLASS specialist\, teachers will practice planning and using the materials to build ability to apply strategies beyond the included guidance. \nVirtual Course – Participants will receive an email directly from Teachstone with instructions on how to complete this course.  A certificate of completion for 2 in-service hours will be provided upon completion. \nParticipants who do NOT receive an email directly from Teachstone prior to the course date should contact Dianna Aguirre at daguirre@elclc.org. \nA Social-Emotional CLASS Support kit for Infants and Toddlers will be provided to each participant.
