DESCRIPTION:It’s OK to Play in VPK! What Educators Should Know About Intentional Teaching is the first training in a 2-part series and is based on the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards. This training builds on the participant’s knowledge of the standards while learning why play is critical to the development of young children and how to intentionally teach and reinforce the FELDS through developmentally appropriate everyday activities. \nIt’s OK to Play in VPK: Putting Play into Practice is the second training in a 2-part series for preschool educators\, directors and administrators. This training uses the participant’s knowledge of the FELDS to facilitate hands-on learning. Participants will actively engage in developmentally appropriate activities that reinforce the standards in various learning centers typically found in a preschool classroom. \nPart 1 is done virtually and the log in information will be emailed prior to the session. \nPart 1 Date : September 23\, 2024 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM \nPart 2 is done in person. \nPart 2 Date: September 30\, 2024 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM \nPart 2 Location: ELCLC Office \n1300 Citizens Blvd. \nLeesburg\, FL 34748 \nMust register for the training on the DCF Website.
