The Early Learning Coalition of Lake County is legislatively mandated to seek six percent (6%) in local Working Poor Eligible Match (WPEM) revenues. For every dollar generated locally, State and Federal funding sources contribute $16.85.

I know you will agree that for a $1 donation, the return of $16.85 is a significant investment. The program infuses $3.3 million dollars into the local economy and the benefits of child care subsidies extend well beyond the family. The providers pay their employees who in turn shop at the local businesses, pay their housing and living expenses, etc.

We are depending on your help to meet the Match requirement so this program will continue to serve families in our community. Every $180 donation will bring in enough federal funds to cover the cost of a child’s education for one year! Please sponsor a child!
